- Carolina....I know folks have Cowher penciled in here but for the best and safest long term move might be to bring in Bill Parcells in as the Director of Football Operations. It's obvious the change in ownership in Miami pushed his decision to step aside but something tells me he's not done yet and having the Tuna build the franchise for long term success would be the best move. Plus you figure someone like Mike Zimmer or Charlie Weis would be his choice as Head Coach.
- Dallas......Bill Cowher is the perfect fit for the Cowboys as they are loaded with talent but have no one to hold the players accountable. Give Cowher a five year deal and you might have two Super Bowl rings at the end of it.
- Cleveland....Jon Gruden as the next head coach would make great sense. You have Holmgren in place to keep him from getting too mean but with his intensity, mixed with Heckert and Holmgren you have to think a playoff appearences would be in their long term future.
- Buffalo---Andrew Luck....No team needs an influx of talent as the Bills and while they got burned on one Stanford QB(Edwards) luck appears to be the closest thing to a sure thing since Peyton Manning
- Detroit----First they can use some luck and health but player wise they should consider a shut down corner like Prince Amukamara. With no real OT worth a top 5 pick the Prince would be a great addition to the young Lions D and make the defensive line look that much better.
- San Francisco----While it appears that Singletary is all but a dead man walking in SF they would be wise to see if they can capture lightening in a bottle twice by grabbing the hot Stanford coach in Harbaugh. He's brash, confident and not afraid to lead a struggling team. Harbaugh would be a great fit for SF. A solid GM would also help say someone like Oliver Luck, AD at West Virginia and someone very familiar with Harbaugh.
Some more stories of note:
Amazing what good drafting and wise free agent signing can do for a team like Pittsburgh who wins regardless of the QB.
You have to think the new owner and Carl Peterson wandering around the building has something to do with this move by Parcells.
Great story on two of the more under-rated programs (Iowa and Wisconsin).
The most overrated prospect in the draft is (check it out).
Current top 10 order....just imagine if Dallas and New England each have a pick in the top 10. The rich get richer. Too bad Dallas can't draft a coach.
