O'Brien Semifinalists go head-to-head in week nine
FORT WORTH, Texas - The 2010 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award® (The O'Brien) Marquee Match-up for week nine highlights O'Brien Semifinalists Matt Barkley and Darron Thomas in a Pac-10 showdown.

Fans can show their support for Barkley and Thomas, as well as any of the other 14 semifinalists, by visiting www.VoteOBrien.org and voting as often as once daily. The Fan Vote will count as 5% of the total vote in determining the finalists.

Marquee Match-up: No. 1 Oregon at No. 24 USC
Saturday, October 30 at 7 p.m. (CT) on ABC
Sophomore signal-caller Darron Thomas will try to keep the nation's most potent offense rolling this weekend when the Oregon Ducks fly south to take on Matt Barkley and the USC Trojans. The top-ranked Ducks are averaging 569.14 yards and 55.14 points per game.

After resting during the Trojans' bye-week, Barkley, who leads the Pac-10 in passing efficiency (167.30), is primed to dismantle the Oregon secondary. The Newport Beach, Calif. native ranks second in the Pac-10 in points responsible for (17.71 per game) and hasn't thrown an interception since week four against Washington State.
