Interesting Prospect at NFL Combine

Every year there is always a good maybe great college player that you wonder if he will make it in the NFL.  Whether its physical attributes, playing at a small school, or playing a style that fits him, you wonder if a team will draft him.  My player I am interested in is... Denard Robinson.

I enjoyed watching Denard "shoelace" Robinson.  His explosiveness, his leadership, and most importantly his late game heroics.  Who can forget his come from behind heroics against Notre Dame, scoring two touchdowns in just over a minute.  His  400 combine yards against multiple teams, he was must watch TV, a very exciting player.  An injury and great play from Devon Gardner, Michigan's other QB, forced Denard to play receiver/running back the last few games of 2012.  Now Denard  has a chance to play at the next level.  At 6'0 and 197 pounds, teams will have to look past his size.

The combine is critical for Denard.  He will need to run a great 40 time, and catch all passes.  If he can show the speed, under 4.4, and show the ability to track and catch the ball, a team will get an explosive playmaker for their offensive.  In his final game against South Carolina, Denard carried the ball 23 times for over 100
yards.  If Denard can return punts and kicks, now a team added a special team dynamo.  After the season ended, I thought Denard would be a 5th or 6th round prospect, just watching the draft over the years and seeing talented guys go late in the draft.  Now, I believe if he runs a great 40 time, he may end going in the 3rd or 4th round.  If a team is looking for an explosive talent, who may be able to return kicks and punts, they may get a player who will impact the game with only being in on 15-25 snaps.  I take a chance on a player like that, he may end up being better than another Michigan Alum, Desmond Howard.  A possibility may be the Detroit Lions.
