Q&A with Rutgers Safety--Duron Harmon

Interviewing as many players as I have over the past seven years, you appreciate those players who keep their word no matter and show the dedication to make it to the next level.   Duron Harmon is the type of guy that coaches, fans and media will enjoy and appreciate on their team.   Something tells me while he starred at Rutgers that bigger things are ahead for him at the next level.

Footballdialogue: What is your official size and speed?
Duron Harmon:  6 200 4.51

FD: What other sports did you play in high school?
DH: Basketball

FD: How did you come to play at Rutgers? Did you have other offers?
DH:  I came to Rutgers because it was a place on the rise and they had a great leader in Coach Schiano. He told me when he was recruiting me that this 2009 recruiting class would be a major reason why we would win the big east and in my senior year we finally accomplished that. Also Rutgers is a great academic school and close to home so my family got to come to every home game.

FD: What has been your best memory in college?
DH: Winning the Big East Title.

FD: Who was the toughest player you faced in college?

FD: Where was your favorite place to play on the road?
DH:  Arkansas because it was a very hostile environment and we were picked to lose and we went in there and beat them and left 75,000 people stunned.

FD: What are your views on playing special teams?
DH: You need good players to play special teams and I can be that guy. That's where I started playing as a true freshman and I worked my way up to becoming a starter and that will be the plan for me when I start playing in the National Football League.

FD: What kind of student where you at Rutgers?
DH: I majored in Labor Relations and had a minor in Human Resources and I carried a 3.47 GPA

FD: How did your Pro Day go?  Any certain teams show extra interest?
DH: My pro day went really well, but I did strain my left hamstring on my second forty attempt and had to pull up but I still ran a 4.58. As for teams, I would have to say the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens showed me some extra attention.

FD: What are your plans for draft day?
DH: Relax with my family and wait until my name is called and then after that we will probably throw something on the grill and just enjoy the day.

FD: Who was your favorite player or team growing up?

FD: Can we follow you on Twitter?
DH: Yes you can @dharm32
