Tom Gamble firing continues Eagles' turmoil

PHILADELPHIA -- All of the human shields are gone, removed by time and the same kind of behind-closed-doors maneuvering that continues for the Philadelphia Eagles. The firing of personnel man Tom Gamble on New Year’s Eve leaves no other possible conclusion. As long as Jeff Lurie has owned the Eagles, the team has experienced internal bickering that has undermined progress and ruined continuity. For years, team president Joe Banner took the blame for the problems.
