When Darryl Tapp had his exit interview with the Detroit Lions' coaching staff in January, he left with an inkling he would be returning to the franchise for a second season in 2015. What surprised him, though, is how soon he ended up back with the Lions. The Lions actually re-signed Tapp to a one-year deal a little bit after the NFL combine, but the deal ended up being announced Monday -- still way earlier than he expected to be brought back. And that left Tapp, who just moved into a new home in Northern Virginia and has been training with Lions defensive end Devin Taylor during the offseason, pretty happy about his situation.
